****100th Day art project is due Thursday. They must use 100 items to create a picture on a poster board. Also, they may choose to dress like they are 100 years old for an extra grade in the grade book.
Focus Skills- multiplication, division, bar graphs
Review Skills- addition & subtraction basic facts, addition & subtraction with regrouping, place value
Morning Math- We will be doing the Math 4 Today and practice test items

Three pennies, 2 nickels, and 3 dimes are lost in the grass. What is a possible combination of 2 coins you find?
About how much would it cost to buy a new tricycle? $3.00 $30.00 $300.00
Lisa sold 4 snickers bars, 3 twix, 8 kit kats, and 6 milky ways to raise money for Dixie Youth. Write the solution sentence to show how many candy bars he sold.
Write the number sentence for finding the difference between 341 and 620.

Mr. Snider’s class took a field trip to the candy factory. The class arrived back at school at 1:00. Their trip lasted four and a half hours. At what time did their trip begin? What number is shown?
Homework- Monday: lesson 16 homework, Tuesday: lesson 17 homework, Wednesday: write the facts for the club you are in two times, Thursday: lesson 18 homework
They should complete the homework each night and get it signed. If they do this Monday – Thursday they will receive a treat on Friday.

Standards: observe and analyze motion and position of objects over time. ( shadows, path of sun across the sky; describe reflection/absorption of colored objects
Homework- Monday: use flashlights to create shadows of your hand. Try to make the shadow change size. Write about what you discovered.; Tuesday: Use a flashlight and a small mirror. Stand in the middle of a room. Without moving, try to bounce the light to hit different objects around the room. Write notes about what you discovered.; Wednesday: NO HOMEWORK; Thursday: Divide a paper in half. On one side label it objects that produce light. On the other side label it objects that reflect light. List as many objects as you can in each column. Hint: Look around your house for items.
They should complete the homework each night and get it signed. If they do this Monday – Thursday they will receive a treat on Friday.
**** By doing their homework in math and science, each student has the opportunity to earn two smoke signals and two stickers per week.
** ITEMS YOU COULD DONATE: coffee filters or C batteries
